Renewed Love for Primitives

Anyone who knows me is well aware that I am always on the hunt for more treasures for my shop (never for me, right?). Over the last few weeks I have been on several shopping trips and have come across some amazing items. I have grown attached in a matter of 48 hours to this amazing primitive tray table. They just don't make them like this anymore! Handmade peg construction has character that very few do today and has a simplicity that can mix with many design styles. There are a few furniture makers locally that sell handmade pieces with wonderful primitive style. One that I love and have purchased a few piece from is Resawn Relics. Here is a great example of their work.

You can find them every month at the Kane County Flea Market. Another great source that I have only recently discovered is Hannah's House Antiques, You can find them on Ruby Lane. I still love this primitive white cabinet piece from a client's home from a little while back.

There are several accessories that fit this motif in the shop. Even a simple metal ring can have style and be a great perch for my little succulent friends:). Enjoy the day and here's to more treasure hunting! Cheers!
