I realize I haven't been great about my communication of what I am up to these days. Life has been crazy to say the least, but I am recharged and inspired after my recent trip. Getting back to High Point for market this fall was like Disney for the design world, so exciting and so much to see, do and experience in just a few days! The creative ideas, products and people are still swimming through my head at high speed. Here are just a few of my favorite sources of inspiratio

Colorful Family Room Redo
Family rooms are a great space to add color, personality and bask in the cozy vibes that mean "family time". This makes me think of a past project for a wonderful family with a love of all the above:)... After spending a significant amount of time and money on the kitchen and living room remodel of their cape cod home, my client was left with a very neglected adjoining family room. The room was a dark paneled space with a very inefficient furniture layout. It had 0 storage

New Year, New Home Décor & Accessories in the Shop
Now that the new year has arrived and all the holiday decorations are being put away, I don't know about you, but I am feeling the house is looking a little bare. It is a great time to spruce things up with just a few new home decor items. Art, pillows and small accessories are easy ways to make a room feel fresh without breaking the bank. I thought I would share some of my holiday cheer and a few easy ways to #dressupthetable this year:). First, start with a nice table cloth or table runner. Generally, solid colors work best. A pretty pattern may look great in the bag at the store,

Decorating on a Budget
Growing up, my mother taught me to be very resourceful. We didn't have lots of money, so I was forced to learn to be creative with what I had, something I am very thankful for. My parents always dragged us to antique stores and tours of historic homes which I never remember hating, I remember thinking these were "speci

Renewed Love for Primitives
Anyone who knows me is well aware that I am always on the hunt for more treasures for my shop (never for me, right?). Over the last few weeks I have been on several shopping trips and have come across some amazing items. I have grown attached in a matter of 48 hours to this amazing primitive tray table. They just don't make them like this anymore! Handmade peg construction has character that very few do today and has a simplicity that can mix with many design styles. Ther
