Spring 2015 Design Inspiration
After being inside for the last several months and feeling like a bear in hybernation, I am so thrilled to see birds and squirrels running around the green stems of daffodils erupting from the ground. The start of a new season is motivating to freshen up one's surroundings as celebration of new adventures to come.
In searching for inspiration, here are a few of my favorites:)...
1. Pink-yes, pink, rose, mauve, all of these adoring shades add such softness to a space and are not just for girls. Check out my Pinterest board for more ideas.
2. Green/greenery-chartreuse is my first pick with its bright and striking shade. To hurry Spring along, add touches of fresh greens to any space for an instant spruce up. Local florists and grocery stores carry many inexpensive bunches that always seem to find their way in my cart:).
3. Moving from color to decor, my obssession with all things brass continues. Brass has made a huge comeback and for a great reason, it adds instant warmth to any space.
4. Embroidery-on pillows, drapes, throws. The attention to detail adds texture and interest, check out my Fern linen pillow for a great example. I am so loving the the Moroccan and Ikat designs from Thom Filicia, Kravet and Robert Allen to name a few.
Here's hoping for a fabulous Spring 2015!
